Dr. Evonne Evans was born and raised in Mukwonago, WI, and graduated from Mukwonago High School. She received an Associate Degree in Commercial Art from Milwaukee Area Technical College and completed her fine arts studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to dental school, Dr. Evans worked as Medical Illustrator for St. Mary’s Hospital, Executive Designer for Creative Directions and TV Art Director for WVTV Channel 18 in Milwaukee. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in Orthodontics.
Dr. Evans has received awards from the American Association of Women Dentists and the American Academy of Oral Pathology. She also received the Kramer Award for achievement in excellence from O.K.U. National Honor Society.
Among Dr. Evans’ many accomplishments is the development of the Waukesha County Third Grade Dental Health Program. The visual aids and dental worksheets she created have been used to educate thousands of students on dental health and hygiene. Dr. Evans received the Wisconsin Dental Association Community Outreach Award for exceptional public service, and the Golden Apple Award from the American Dental Association for excellence in dental health promotion of the Dental Health Month Third Grade Program.
Dr. Evonne Evans has enthusiastically and successfully mastered many hobbies, including accomplished artistry, singing, playing several musical instruments, and most recently, rock and fossil collection and jewelry design. Her artistic eye has proved to be a unique asset when placing orthodontic brackets, resulting in innumerable outstanding smiles.
Dr. Evans’ chairside orthodontic treatment is now limited, as she is currently focusing on lecturing and orthodontic education. She, along with her husband, Dr. Charles Evans, hold seminars for dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants on various topics such as orthodontics and temporomandibular joint dysfunction.
